view enlarged panelThe press of choice for today’s fine printers, the Vandercook is a cylinder proof press originally designed to produce trial impressions of type and blocks. Developed in 1914 by Robert Vandercook of Chicago, the proof press was initially hand operated. Later models developed a motorized inking system.
Used at Amaranth Press, Desert Rose Press, The Lightning Tree, Stagecoach Press, The Press of the Palace of the Governors, and Weaselsleeves Press.
